Brand Refresh + SEO + Website

I first met with Green Couch Design, originally to help them make some DIY SEO changes to their site. After an initial consult, they decided they were interested in a simple brand refresh and a new Squarespace 7.1 website! The brand process was pretty straightforward and simple, as we knew we wanted to keep the design similar to their original logo design. The biggest change you might notice is from GCD 1.0 to 2.0 is the font. We switched out the primary font to a more modern and edgy sans-serif font. We also tweaked the primary green hue to make it a bit softer and earthy. Last but not least, we added a full brand suite of elements (vertical and horizontal logo options, icons, and a brand mark).

As for the website, the owners wanted a clean aesthetic that was simple yet captivating. They wanted plenty of room to use large, wide-screen photos that showcased their design work. In fact, their website is the first time I haven’t put any text above the fold. After playing around with multiple designs to get text to look right above the fold, I decided to nix the text and let the photography and their design work speak for itself.
